Customers are able to identify partners they want to work with a number of ways:

  1. They search Cloud Centre and isolate services available based on their needs
  2. They hear about services and specialties available in our ecosystem via our customer stories page, as well as through the thought-leadership article we co-author with many of our partners and feature on our website’s blog section
  3. They see partners and services available inside each data centre, as promoted on our digital screens
  4. They ask our team for suggestions (so, it always pays to be nice to us)

What’s Cloud Centre, and how can my business be added?

Cloud Centre is the online location on nextdc.com where you can find the partners that make up our ecosystem (it’s THE place to hang out). Cloud Centre is also where our customers and other partners go when they are looking for an IT service or a particular partner of choice anywhere within our national footprint.

As a NEXTDC partner, and as soon as you establish your initial point of presence (POP), we invite you to set up your own Cloud Centre profile so you too will be displayed in future customer searches. You can find the Cloud Centre profile set up form at nextdc.com/partners/resources

Can I attend and work with NEXTDC to host customer tours at NEXTDCs data centres?

Absolutely. In fact, we strongly recommend it. Along with customer tours, we can support executive briefings or general information sessions hosted within our facilities. Customers need to see what their solution is made up of, especially when it means outsourcing infrastructure traditionally managed and owned inhouse. And we know that not all data centres are created equal, so this stage of the sales cycle is an important one.

Our tours are generally the linchpin that help us demonstrate the real value, resiliency and interconnection capability our facilities deliver. So, if you have a customer looking for reassurance that the solution you’re proposing is backed by the highest levels of reliability and resilience in the Australian market – bring them along to see us. Does NEXTDC sell direct to customers?

First and foremost, NEXTDC is a partner-preferred organisation. More than 80% of our business is transacted via channel partners.

We pride ourselves on operating ethically and fairly at all times, keeping our eye on the customer and their needs, providing the necessary support and guidance necessary and ensuring we are working collaboratively and strategically with our partners who share an incumbency in the account. Our partners play a highly valuable and integral role for customers, therefore it’s always our preference that wherever possible, deals are procured via our partners.

Like all rules, there are always exceptions. And there will be rare instances where a customer may decide to establish and manage their data centre environment directly. We have an obligation to respect the customer’s decision, however we always explore whether there is an opportunity for a deal to go via a partner.
